In December, when the weather gets cold in metro Atlanta, I often think of staying in Orlando for a few weeks. Orlando is home to many interesting attractions such as Disney world and Sea world and other fun places. The weather is also warm and inviting the the month of December. So it is an ideal place to escape the cold.
I did not know this before but there are actually four different parks in Disney world. There is the magic kingdom, animal kingdom, hollywood studios, and EPCOT (which stands for something that I forget).
I have not been to EPCOT but I have visited the other three Disney parks. I think they are all great but my favorite is Animal Kingdom. The reason is because there is a zoo inside Animal Kingdom! And the safari ride in the park, let's you experience what it would be like in a real safari! The tree of life in Animal kingdom is also an awesome artifact and looks really awesome.
Do you like rollarcoasters? I don't. But I would recommend them at least once in your life. The last time I was in Sea world. I made the mistake of trying out a rollarcoaster. I said, why not? Gotta try it once in your life, right? But it was a bad bad choice. The name of the ride of Manta and it was so fast and furious that it was the fastest thing that I ever rode on. I will not be riding on a rollarcoaster any time soon. But overall, all the rides in the Disney parks and Sea world are pretty good and a lot of fun!
Of course, cost is always an important issue when it comes to travel and staying at the hotels for long periods of time will cost a lot of money. I find that if you are trying to enjoy the theme parks and explore the city, it is probably a good idea to book a cheap place because you will probably not use the amenities provided by the hotel and instead will be out and exploring instead.
Because of the weather and the attractions available, Orlando is an excellent place to visit in December. I hope you visit again in year!
